Here’s a delicious meat pie topped with soft mashed potato crust that adds to the joys of the season and bring smiles on people’s faces when they get a second serve!
garlic 7 cloves onion 1 Numbers carrot 1/2 cup green peas 1/2 cup chicken mince 1/2 kilograms black pepper As required rosemary 1 teaspoon thyme 1 teaspoon tomato puree 1 tablespoon worcestershire sauce 1 tablespoon wine 1/4 cup salt As required all purpose flour 2 tablespoon potato 1 kilograms butter 1 tablespoon egg yolk 2 Numbers cheddar cheese 1 cup milk 1/4 cup All Ingredients Preparation
Saute garlic, chopped onions, carrots and green peas in a pan. Add minced chicken and mix.
Sprinkle pepper powder, rosemary and thyme.
Pour tomato puree and Worcestershire sauce.
Pour wine and season. Let it cook.
Add flour to the mixture and cook again.
Transfer mixture to a glass tray. Spread it evenly.
Mix mashed potatoes with butter and egg yolks. Add cheese and season with salt and pepper. Pour milk and mix again.
Spoon the mashed potato on top of the minced chicken mixture.
Bake it for 20 to 25 mins at 200 degrees C. Serve hot.
