While it was originally made with beef cubes served in sour cream sauce with rice, over the years, it has seen quite a few variations, This Christmas, we bring you our own unique twist to the Russian classic with a few swaps -- chicken instead of beef and pasta instead of rice.

  • chicken breast

    250 grams

  • mushroom

    150 grams

  • onion

    1 Numbers

  • garlic

    8 cloves

  • olive oil

    2 tablespoon

  • butter

    1 tablespoon

  • salt

    As required

  • water

    1/2 cup

  • vinegar

    1 tablespoon

  • mustard sauce

    1 tablespoon

  • coriander leaves

    As required

  • black pepper

    1/2 teaspoon

  • all purpose flour

    1 tablespoon

  • cream

    3 tablespoon

  • pasta

    1 cup


Step 1

Slice mushrooms and cut chicken into bite-sized pieces.

Heat some butter and olive oil in a pan. Saute the garlic and onion. They should be translucent before adding the sliced mushrooms. Now cook for a minute. Season this mixture with salt and pepper.

Add the chicken pieces to the pan and cook till the chicken gets done. Add flour and mix well.
