Embracing a local tradition, he began his visit by enjoying a cup of the area's world-famous tea while surrounded by the estate's lush, hilly landscape.

The Makaibari Tea Estate, located in Kurseong, is widely recognized as one of the oldest tea gardens in the region, with roots dating back to the 1850s.
