Bread Pakoda - How To Make Bread Pakora

An easy to make home recipe bread pakoda is a perfect pick in the monsoon season. Crispy from outside and soft from inside, it is potato-filled snack recipe which is deep fried. You can enjoy it with a cup of hot tea or coffee.


Ingredients

Serves 2
  • gram flour1 cup
  • turmeric powder1 teaspoon
  • red chilli powder1 teaspoon
  • salt As required
  • baking soda1/2 teaspoon
  • carom seeds1/2 teaspoon
  • water As required
  • oil2 tablespoon
  • mustard seeds1 teaspoon
  • asafoetida powder1 Pinch
  • potato1 cup
  • garam masala1/2 teaspoon
  • raw mango1/2 teaspoon
  • red chilli powder1/2 teaspoon
  • turmeric powder1/2 teaspoon
  • coriander leaves1 tablespoon
  • white bread4 slices
  • green chutney4 tablespoon
  • oil As required

Preparation

Step 1

Put the potatoes in a pressure cooker and add water in it.

Add water in the mixture for the desired consistency. Check for seasoning and add a few drops of oil in the batter and keep it aside.

Take a pan heat some oil in it, add mustard seeds, asafoetida, Mashed boiled potatoes, garam masala, coriander leaves, red chilli powder, turmeric powder, amchur and salt. Mix them well.

Now assemble the bread pakora by slicing the bread into triangular slices. Apply green chutney on one side of triangular bread and apply mashed potato mixture evenly on the bread. Cover this slice with another triangular slice.

Dip the potato filled bread slices into besan batter to coat the breads. Deep fry these dipped bread slices in hot oil on medium flame till crisp and golden brown. Enjoy these freshly prepared bread pakoras with sauce along with tea or coffee.
