Marinate the chicken strips with pepper and salt.
In a bowl, mix flour, cornflour, baking powder, salt, garlic powder, ginger powder, pepper and an egg. Whisk nicely. Add chilled water and whisk again. Keep aside.
Add the chicken to the spice mix and combine well. Keep aside for 10 minutes.
