Baingan aka brinjal or eggplant is one of the most popular vegetable across Indian kitchens. It has long been a food associated with a balanced body and immunity. Brinjal’s “low carb high fiber” combination is good if you are looking to shed weight. This baingan fry goes perfectly well as a side dish or snack for guests. Follow our simple recipe to make easy masala baingan fry.


Serves 2
  • eggplant

    1 Numbers

  • ginger garlic paste

    1 teaspoon

  • coriander powder

    1 teaspoon

  • cumin powder

    1 teaspoon

  • red chilli powder

    1 1/2 teaspoon

  • chaat masala

    1/2 teaspoon

  • salt

    As required

  • lemon juice

    1 tablespoon

  • oil

    As required

  • semolina

    1/2 cup


Step 1

First take a big long round baingan (eggplant).

Prepare the masala in a bowl. Add ginger garlic paste, Coriander powder, cumin powder, chilli powder, chaat masala, salt to taste, lemon juice & oil in the bowl.

Take the sliced brinjal and coat it with the masala mixture.
