Ingredients

  • ghee

    As required

  • khoya

    200 grams

  • powdered sugar

    50 grams

  • water

    2 tablespoon

Preparation

Step 1

In a heavy bottom pan, add the mava over a low flame. Roast until it becomes greasy. Add two teaspoons of ghee to it.

Keep roasting the mava on low flame. Keep stirring constantly until it acquires the peculiar brown colour of the peda. The texture should be somewhat granulated. Put off the flame. Keep it aside in a bowl.

Add the powdered sugar, crushed cardamom and water. Mix everything well and roll out the peda of desired size and shape. Flatten out a little using your palm, and the peda is ready to be served.
