Serves 4
  • mutton

    1 kilograms

  • coconut milk

    2 cup

  • sugar

    1/4 teaspoon

  • cinnamon stick

    1 piece

  • cloves

    4 pieces

  • green cardamom

    2 Numbers

  • onion

    1 Numbers

  • ginger garlic paste

    1 teaspoon

  • green chillies

    3 teaspoon

  • black peppercorns

    1 teaspoon

  • fennel seeds

    1 teaspoon

  • coriander powder

    1 teaspoon

  • cumin powder

    1 teaspoon

  • cashew nuts

    1 handful

  • salt

    As required

Preparation

Step 1

Add coconut oil to a deep-bottomed pan or a Dutch oven. Add sugar, cinnamon stick, cloves, cardamom, onion, green chillies, ginger garlic paste, curry leaves and mutton.

Cook for a while and add fennel seeds, whole peppercorns, coriander powder, cumin powder, salt and water. Cook for 4 whistles.

Fry onions in oil with some cashews. Keep aside.
