A squeeze of lime makes everything better. This lemon rice is an ideal one pot meal which requires minimal ingredients for preparation and is and quick and easy recipe to prepare. This dish can be eaten itself as a meal but taste better if served with raita or chutney’s of your choice.

chana dal

urad dal

curry leaves

turmeric powder

leftover rice
2 cup
lemon juice
2 tablespoon
Heat a pan over medium flame and add oil and mustard seeds. Cook till the mustard seeds splutter.
Then, add chana dal, urad dal, peanuts, curry leaves, turmeric and Salt. Sauté for 5 minutes.
Add cooked rice and lemon juice. Mix everything well. Cook at low flame for 5 minutes.
