  • full cream milk1/2 mililitre
  • sugar1/4 cup
  • ghee1 tablespoon
  • apple1 piece
  • small cardamom4 As required
  • pistachios10 cup
  • almonds6 pieces
  • raisins8 pieces
  • cashews6 pieces
  • saffron As required

Preparation

Step 1

Wash the apple then finely grate it.

Heat ghee in a deep bottomed vessel such as cauldron.

Stir fry the apple until it turns mushy.

Add the full-fat milk. Keep stirring till it reduces in quantity and becomes thick.

Add the solid layers of the milk scraped from the sides of the utensil back to the kheer. It will make it thicker and tastier.
