During the COVID-19 outbreak, many Gurudwaras around the world started distributing food packets to the needy. Though a place of worship, Gurudwaras also give people a chance to indulge in philanthropic activities. It is called Seva. Making food items for the community is one such work. The food prepared is also considered an offering to the almighty through the Seva. The holy offering is not just a food item that satiates your taste buds but also a blessing.
Your visit to Gurudwara will be incomplete if you do not eat the revered Kada Prasad. Everyone likes the Kada prasad. Delicious and aromatic, Kada Prasad has the goodness of wheat and the warmth of Seva. You can very conveniently make it at home as well if you are unable to visit a Gurudwara. Just don’t forget to chant ‘Waheguru’ while cooking it. Here is the step-by-step recipe for cooking:
After heating the ghee for some time, add wheat flour to it and stir continuously; otherwise, it will form lumps. Make sure to keep the flame low all the time.

Once the colour has changed to dark goldish-brown, add a cup of sugar to it. Once it is absorbed well in the mixture, add a cup of water. Then mix the contents well.
