Nachos are a delicacy from Mexico. They can be topped with your favourite toppings such as a cheesy dip or salsa or guacamole or red beans.   • maize flour1 cup
  • whole wheat flour1/2 cup
  • salt1 teaspoon
  • chilli flakes1 teaspoon
  • water2/3 cup
  • oregano flakes1 teaspoon
  • salt1/2 teaspoon
  • cumin powder1/2 teaspoon
  • amchur powder1/2 teaspoon
  • red chilli powder1 teaspoon
  • coriander powder1 teaspoon
  • rock salt1/2 teaspoon
  • milk1/4 cup
  • salted butter1 tablespoon
  • turmeric powder1 Pinch
  • chilli flakes1 teaspoon
  • mexican seasoning1 teaspoon
  • black olive1 teaspoon
  • jalapeños1 teaspoon

Preparation

Step 1

In a bowl, take maize flour, whole wheat flour, salt and red chilli flakes. Mix them well. Gradually add in cold water and knead it into a soft dough. Cover with a damp cloth and keep it aside for 15 minutes.

In another bowl, add all the spices for the spice mix and mix well. Take one portion of the dough, roll it into a ball and flatten it. Take a rolling pin and roll it into a thin chapati/sheet. Cut the rough edges with a knife or cutter.

Prick this sheet with a fork. Heat a pan or tawa and cook this sheet lightly from both sides without ghee or oil. Transfer to a plate and cut it into triangles (8 equal pieces)

Now heat oil in a pan for deep frying and fry these triangles until golden & crisp. Transfer to a parchment paper to remove excess oil and then to a plate. Add the prepared spice mix. Nachos are ready!

Heat milk in a pan and add pizza cheese. On a low flame, continuously stir it until cheese melts completely. Then add salted butter and a pinch of turmeric powder. Switch off the flame. Transfer to a bowl. The cheese dip is ready!
