Packed with nutrition & protein, Dal has always been a part of every Indian household’s regular diet. Dal fry is the combination of roasted Tomato and Onion with lots of Desi ghee and some spices giving your regular dal a zesty flavour!
In a pan add butter & oil and heat on medium flame. Put chopped garlic in it and sauté.
See VideoNow add the ginger paste. Cook for 30 seconds and add onions. Stir fry the onions till they are translucent and add tomatoes, slit green chilies, turmeric powder, Kashmiri red chilli powder, garam masala kasuri methi and salt. Add water & cover & cook for a few minutes.
See VideoAt this point, stir in the dal along with some water if required. Bring this to a boil and simmer for 5-7 minutes.
