An iconic Gujrati dish, Dhokla is a steamed snack that includes besan as the main ingredient along with some spices, majorly mustard seeds. Dhokla chaat is a quick meal and a fusion recipe. it’s a combination of different chutneys, chopped coriander, onions, with sev and pomegranate seeds used for garnishing. It’s a very quick snack time idea from leftover dhoklas.


Ingredients

Serves 2
  • dhokla4 pieces
  • curd1/4 cup
  • tamarind chutney3 tablespoon
  • green chutney2 tablespoon
  • onion1/4 As required
  • green chilli As required
  • red chilli powder1/2 teaspoon
  • black salt1/2 teaspoon
  • chat masala1/2 teaspoon
  • nylon sev2 tablespoon
  • coriander seeds As required
  • pomegranate pearls As required
  • salt As required

Preparation

Step 1

Take the dhoklas. Chop them into small bite size pieces.

Now add curd, green chutney and tamarind chutney.

Add Chopped onions and green chilli to the chopped dhokla.

Add the onions, green chillies, followed by spices - salt, black salt, red chilli powder, chat masala and amchur. Mix well. Top it with nylon sev, coriander leaves & pomegranate seeds.

Garnish with some of the chillies that came with the Dhokla. However, this is optional. Dhokla chat is ready to be served.
