  • Whole Wheat Flour100 grams
  • All Purpose Flour200 grams
  • Ghee60 grams
  • Coconut1 cup
  • Semolina2 tablespoon
  • Almonds1 tablespoon
  • Raisins2 tablespoon
  • Cardamom powder1/2 teaspoon
  • Powdered sugar2 tablespoon
  • Oil As required

Preparation

Step 1

Outer covering: Add some whole wheat flour and maida in a bowl. Mix it well. Add some ghee into it and mix again.

Filling: Add some grated coconut into a bowl. Mix roasted suji into it. Add chopped and crushed almonds into it. Put in some chopped raisins in it. Add powdered cardamom and powdered sugar into the bowl.

Take small portions of the dough and roll them out- thick or thin- as you like. Place it on the gujiya mould. Add the filling into it using a spoon.

Heat oil in a pan and deep fry the gujiyas in it. Fry it on low flame, carefully till it turns golden brown.
