Come summer, come winter, come spring, come any season, Paneer is one of India's most loved ingredients. No surprise then that it has been used in a variety of forms in Indian kitchens. Kadhai Paneer is a dish born out of countless such Paneer-based kitchen experiments. Loaded with veggies, this dish is found at Dhabas as well as restaurants & is known to be extremely flavourful!


Ingredients

Serves 2
  • oil2 tablespoon
  • cumin seeds1 teaspoon
  • ginger garlic paste1 teaspoon
  • onion1 cup
  • tomato1 cup
  • garam masala1 teaspoon
  • powder1 teaspoon
  • turmeric powder1 teaspoon
  • tomato puree1/2 cup
  • water As required
  • onion1 cup
  • tomato1 cup
  • capsicum1 cup
  • paneer1 cup
  • salt As required
  • cream As required

Preparation

Step 1

Heat a kadai and add oil.

Put some cumin seeds & ginger garlic Paste. Mix it.

Now add the chopped onions and saute for 2- 3 minutes until softened.

Then add the chopped tomatoes. Mix and cook until tomatoes become soft and mushy.

Add salt, garam masala, kashmiri red chilli powder and turmeric powder. Stir the spices and cook for 30 seconds.

Then add 1/2 cup tomato puree to give it a nice colour. Add little water and stir.

Cover it with a lid and cook for one minute. Once you notice the oil separating, consider the gravy to be done.

Now put the diced onion, tomato and capsicum and mix.

Lastly, add the cubed paneer and mix it with the masala.

Top it with cream for garnish and serve hot.
