Stretchy and cheesy mozzarella sticks recipe

These batons of stretchy cheese coated in crisp robe of crunchy nachos are a guaranteed crowd puller. Here is a simple recipe.


Ingredients

Serves 3
  • mozzarella cheese200 grams
  • nachos60 grams
  • all purpose flour1 tablespoon
  • corn starch1 tablespoon
  • salt As required
  • black pepper1/4 teaspoon
  • chilli flakes1/4 teaspoon
  • oregano flakes1/2 teaspoon
  • water1/4 cup

Preparation

Step 1

Crush nachos in a bowl to form a coarse powder.

In a separate bowl, combine maida, cornflour, salt, black pepper, oregano and chilli flakes. Mix them well. Add water to make a thin slurry.

Now cut the frozen mozzarella cheese blocks into sticks of ½ inch thickness, almost like French fries.

Heat oil in a pan for frying. Dip the mozzarella sticks into the prepared slurry and then coat them evenly with the nachos powder. Repeat the process for all mozzarella sticks.

Fry for 1 minute on high flame and place on a plate.

Serve with ketchup and sweet chilli sauce.
