  • turmeric powder1/2 teaspoon
  • ghee1 tablespoon
  • dried red chillies2 Numbers

  • chat masala1/2 teaspoon
  • red chilli powder1/4 teaspoon
  • garam masala1/4 teaspoon
  • cumin powder1/2 teaspoon
  • lemon juice1/2 Numbers
  • tomato1 Numbers
  • onion1/2 Numbers
  • green chillies2 teaspoon
  • beetroot As required
  • papad1 Numbers
  • nylon sev1 teaspoon
  • coriander leaves1 tablespoon
  • mint leaves As required

Preparation

Step 1

In a pressure cooker add soaked moong dal and water. Add salt, turmeric powder and pressure cook for 3 whistles.

Transfer the dal to a bowl.

In a pan, take ghee and fry dried red chillies. Add the tadka on top of the dal.

Add the spices, chopped tomato, onion, green chillies, beetroot , add crushed papdi, sev and fresh lemon juice.
